Droitwich Spa Marina

The new waterways route passes through the picturesque town of Droitwich Spa with many shops, pubs and cafes. It also encompasses the historic cathedral city of Worcester with a host of activities on offer, extensive shopping and restaurants. Worcester has many sporting facilities including Premiership Worcester Rugby Club at Sixways, Worcestershire County Cricket Club & Worcester Racecourse.

Droitwich Spa Marina is in an excellent location, not only for the Midlands canal network, but it is just 2 miles from Junction 5 of the M5 motorway. Once moored you are just a 15 minute stroll along the Droitwich Junction canal towpath down to Droitwich Spa town centre or a short stroll up to the Eagle and Sun Pub at the junction with the Worcester-Birmingham Canal.

Droitwich Spa Marina is an ideal startpoint for walkers, with many routes to choose from, either along the towpaths or rights of way across open farmland. The National Trust property Hanbury Hall is a delightful one hour’s walk away through some of Worcestershire’s finest countryside, completely avoiding any road and is recommended as a ‘must visit’.

The Jinney Ring Craft Centre near Hanbury is a 5 minute drive away. Birmingham Bull Ring/City Centre or Bristol’s Cribbs Causeway are both under an hour’s drive away.
